Full-Day Birdwatching from Copal Tree Lodge
A full guided birding day from Copal Tree Lodge, using land or river routes to explore more of southern Belize, with binoculars and lunch included.
About this tour
This full-day birdwatching outing gives visitors more time to explore beyond the immediate lodge grounds in southern Belize. Copal Tree Lodge’s birding guides select a route suited to the day, with a safari-style vehicle or a boat on the river among the formats described by the operator. The route and transport mode vary by departure.
Moving between habitats can provide opportunities to look for birds found in lowland forest, riverside vegetation and more open areas. The lodge’s wider birding area supports toucans, parrots, trogons, motmots, raptors, kingfishers and other groups, but the tour does not promise any particular sighting. A local guide leads the search and can help guests interpret calls and field marks.
The published schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The outing is available daily by request, subject to availability, and requires at least two participants. Binoculars are included, with either a packed lunch or lunch at the lodge. Guests should bring water and wear closed-toe shoes, lightweight clothing, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
