Cinderella Waxbill, Glaucestrilda thomensis, is a passerine of the waxbill family that breeds in western Angola and north-west Namibia. It is associated with drier parts of its range, including southwestern Angola and the extreme north-west of Namibia. Its habitat includes lowland dry shrubland, savannah and forest, and it occurs at 200 to 500 m. The species was described by de Sousa in 1888. It also feeds on grass seeds, nectar and insects, and is active by day.
