Oreoscopus gutturalis (De Vis, 1889)

Fernwren, Oreoscopus gutturalis, is a passerine of the Acanthizidae family that breeds in montane rainforest in north-east Queensland, Australia, from Cape York Peninsula south through the region. It was first described by De Vis in 1889. The bird is marked by a white eyebrow and throat, a dark brown face, and a black bib below the throat. It has a long, slender bill, dark olive-brown upperparts and paler underparts. Juveniles lack the adult facial pattern.
