Rhynchocyclus fulvipectus (Sclater, PL, 1860)
Fulvous-breasted Flatbill, Rhynchocyclus fulvipectus, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family in the Andean forests of western South America, from western Venezuela to north-western Bolivia. It lives in humid foothill and montane woodland, including secondary growth, and is often found close to streams. The species is resident throughout the year. It is a medium-sized flatbill with a broad, flat bill, and the sexes look alike. Its range is patchy, with separate populations across Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. It was first described in 1860 and is the only member of its kind.
