Jos Plateau Indigobird, Vidua maryae, is a passerine in the family Viduidae and breeds in central Nigeria. It is linked to dry woodland and shrubland in rocky country, and has also been reported from northern Cameroon. The species was described by Payne in 1982. It places its eggs in the nest of the rock firefinch, removing the same number of the host’s eggs to avoid detection. Its breeding is spread through the year, with greater activity from July to December.
