White-breasted Nigrita, Nigrita fusconotus, is a passerine of the Estrildidae family that breeds in western and central Africa. It is found across the African tropical rainforest and was described by Fraser in 1843. The bird has a waxbill-like look, with a black cap and tail set against brown upperparts and white underparts. Males and females are similar, while young birds show browner tones on the crown, rump and tail.
