About this tour

This four-day programme starts at Foz do Iguaçu and combines the falls with focused Atlantic Forest birding on both the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the border. The first afternoon introduces the Brazilian park. A full day in Argentina’s Iguazú National Park follows, before the route moves toward Urugua-í Provincial Park or nearby forest around Karadya Birding Lodge.

The last morning is reserved for the Route 101 forest corridor and Iriapú Reserve before departure. The operator highlights forest species such as Pavonine Cuckoo, Blond-crested Woodpecker, Tropical Screech-Owl, Vinaceous-breasted Amazon and Scale-throated Hermit among many possibilities. The combination of protected forest, river scenery and short transfers makes this a concentrated extension, but sightings remain subject to weather, access and bird activity. Dates, exact border logistics, accommodation and price are confirmed through inquiry.
