Custom New Zealand Pelagic Birding Journey
Combine New Zealand land birding with selected pelagic outings on a private route focused on penguins, albatrosses, other seabirds and endemics.
About this tour
This custom New Zealand journey is built around the meeting point between endemic landbirds and exceptional oceanic birding. Suitable terrestrial areas can be combined with pelagic excursions, allowing the route to follow both island habitats and productive seas.
Penguins, albatrosses and other seabirds form the principal marine interest, alongside New Zealand endemics on land. Paul’s experience includes twelve months travelling and birding across the country’s islands in 2017 and 2018.
No fixed duration, island sequence or set of boat trips is imposed. Those choices depend on season, marine schedules, weather and guest priorities. Confirm islands, ports, transport, accommodation, pelagic operators, contingency time and price through BirdWatch.info before arranging flights.
