This 14-day private birding journey follows a northern Tanzania circuit that pairs varied habitat with unhurried field time. Beginning around Arusha and Kilimanjaro, the route reaches Ndarakwai Private Ranch, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro highlands and crater, Ndutu and the Serengeti.
Birding is arranged at a deliberately relaxed pace, with room to work productive areas, linger for photography and enjoy the wider wildlife of the northern circuit. The sequence moves from open country and acacia landscapes to woodland, highland farms and the grassland-and-copse mosaic around Ndutu, before several full days in the Serengeti.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival near Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to the Arusha area for the first overnight stay.
Day 2
Ndarakwai Private Ranch
Begin birding on Ndarakwai Private Ranch, with time in the ranch landscapes and surrounding northern Tanzania habitat.
Day 3
Ndarakwai and Tarangire
Continue birding at Ndarakwai before travelling toward Tarangire for the next stage of the journey.
Day 4
Tarangire National Park
Spend a full day birding Tarangire National Park, allowing time to work the park's savanna and woodland habitats.
Day 5
Tarangire and the Ngorongoro highlands
Morning birding in Tarangire is followed by travel into the Ngorongoro highlands.
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the Ngorongoro Crater and its changing elevations and open habitats before returning to the highlands.
Day 7
Highlands to Ndutu
Bird the highland area during the morning, then travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Ndutu.
Day 8
Ndutu birding
Use a full day around Ndutu for birding and photography across the grassland and woodland mosaic.
Day 9
Ndutu to the Serengeti
Continue birding around Ndutu before moving into the Serengeti for the final safari section.
Day 10
Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day birding in the Serengeti, adapting the route to the most productive areas encountered.

Continue the Serengeti birding program, with time for both broad habitat coverage and careful observation.
