About this tour
The Argentine side of Iguazu offers a choice between a full birding day and a more complete two-day programme. Both formats begin inside Iguazu National Park, where forest paths and the waterfall walkways create a varied field setting. The Macuco Trail is the main feature of the first morning: its 5.4-kilometre return route allows time to listen and watch for Atlantic Forest activity away from the busiest viewpoints.
After returning to the visitor centre at about 12:30, the afternoon can be adjusted to conditions and walking preference. One option is the Hummingbird Garden in Puerto Iguazu, particularly when heat or rain makes another long park walk less attractive. The alternative continues to the Garganta del Diablo station, using part of the river and wetland approach for additional birding before visiting the falls. The published schedule returns to Puerto Iguazu at approximately 17:00.
Guests taking the two-day format add the Upper and Lower Circuits, whose walkways cover roughly 1.2 and 1.8 kilometres. The afternoon then uses whichever Hummingbird Garden or Garganta del Diablo option was not covered on the first day. Early birding along Route 101 before the park opens is available only when weather and arrangements permit. Hotel transfers, park entrance, mineral water, lunch and field reference material are listed as part of the programme; the final daily format is agreed through the BirdWatch inquiry before booking.
