About this tour

This private day uses Port Douglas as a gateway to markedly different bird communities. Doug may keep the search close to the coast, climb through Julatten toward Mount Lewis for upland species, or turn inland to the savannah and wetlands between Mareeba and Mount Carbine.

The route is selected around requested birds and current field conditions. Pickup is offered in Port Douglas, Mossman or Julatten, with a normal schedule of 07:00 to 16:00. Guests may purchase lunch at a suitable stop or carry their own.
