Celebesica abbotti
Abbott's Sunbird (Celebesica abbotti) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This sunbird is characterized by its vibrant plumage, with the male displaying iridescent green and blue colors on its head and upperparts, while the female has more subdued olive-green plumage. These birds are nectar feeders and also consume small insects. They are known for their acrobatic flight patterns as they dart between flowers and foliage in search of food. Abbott's Sunbirds are often found in the canopy of tropical forests, where they build their small, cup-shaped nests. Despite their localized range, they are not currently considered to be at risk of extinction.
