Abyssinian White-eye, Zosterops abyssinicus, is a passerine of the white-eye family found in north-east Africa and the south-west Arabian Peninsula. It was described by Guérin-Méneville in 1843. Its range includes north-east Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Kenya and north-east Tanzania, as well as Socotra, south-west Saudi Arabia, Yemen and southern Oman. It is associated with open woodland, scrub, wadis and gardens, and in Africa reaches 1,800 metres, rising to 3,100 metres in Arabia. It is a small bird with a white eye-ring and a dark line between bill and eye.
