Acacia Tit, Melaniparus thruppi, is a bird of north-eastern Africa, where it lives in dry acacia country and other arid to semi-arid wooded savanna, especially where trees line streams and rivers. It is the smallest of Africa’s grey Melaniparus tits, with a glossy blue-black cap, nape, throat and breast set against a large buff-white face patch. A broad black band runs from the breast to the vent, and the wings show white panels. It occurs in Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda and north-eastern Tanzania.
