Afep Pigeon, Columba unicincta, is a pigeon of the African tropical rainforest, breeding from Guinea to Ghana and from eastern Nigeria to Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. It was described by Cassin in 1860. The species is part of Columbidae and is placed in the Columbiformes. It is a lowland bird for the most part, though it is also recorded locally at higher elevations in Cameroon and Uganda. Its range lies on both sides of the Dahomey Gap. It is also known as the African woodpigeon or grey woodpigeon.
