African Dwarf Kingfisher, Ispidina lecontei, is a kingfisher of African rainforests in the family Alcedinidae. Its breeding range runs from Sierra Leone to Ghana, and from southern Nigeria through western South Sudan and Uganda to central Democratic Republic of the Congo, with central Angola also included. Cassin described it in 1856. It is the smallest kingfisher in the world. The species is placed in the order Coraciiformes.
