Muscicapidae — Chats, Old World Flycatchers

African Grey Flycatcher, Bradornis microrhynchus, is a passerine in the Muscicapidae family that breeds in eastern Africa. It occurs in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda, where it uses dry savanna and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. Reichenow described it in 1887. It was formerly placed in Melaenornis, but a molecular study in 2010 led to its transfer to Bradornis. The form B. m. pumilus is sometimes treated as a separate species, the Ethiopian grey flycatcher.
