African River Martin, Pseudochelidon eurystomina, is a passerine of the Hirundinidae family that breeds in the Congo region of Africa. It was described by Hartlaub in 1861 and is one of the river martins. Its breeding grounds lie along the Congo River and the Ubangi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in country with swampy or seasonally flooded woodland among mixed tropical forest types. It nests in burrows cut into river sand banks, often beside rosy bee-eaters, and also makes tunnels for night shelter in its winter quarters.
