The Agile Tit-Tyrant (Uromyias agilis) is a small passerine bird found in the Andes of South America. It is known for its energetic and agile foraging behavior, often seen darting through the undergrowth in search of insects. This species has a distinctive black and white plumage with a bright yellow crown, making it easily recognizable in its montane forest habitat. Agile Tit-Tyrants are often found in mixed-species flocks and are known for their high-pitched vocalizations. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
