Agile Tit-Tyrant, Uromyias agilis, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in the Andes from Venezuela to Ecuador. It lives in cloudforest and elfin forest close to the treeline, and it shows a strong preference for places with Chusquea bamboo, whether in pure stands or mixed with other plants. It is a resident bird throughout its range. The species has a disjunct distribution, with populations in western Venezuela, Colombia’s Central and Eastern Andes, and the Andes of Ecuador. It is a monotypic species, and the sexes look alike.
