Acrocephalus nijoi (Yamashina, 1940)
Aguiguan Reed Warbler, Acrocephalus nijoi, is a passerine of the family Acrocephalidae that breeds on Aguiguan in the Northern Mariana Islands of Micronesia. It was described by Yamashina in 1940. Some taxonomists treat it as a form of the nightingale reed warbler. Records never showed a large population, and in 1982 only four to possibly 15 birds were counted. No sightings have been made since 1995, even after extensive searches for it.
