Ahanta Spurfowl, Pternistis ahantensis, is a galliform bird of the pheasant family that breeds across western Africa from Senegambia to south-west Nigeria. It was described by Temminck in 1854. The bird is placed in the genus Pternistis, and it is treated as a single form, with no recognised subspecies. Its common name also appears as Ahanta francolin.
