Menura alberti
Albert's Lyrebird is a medium-sized bird native to the rainforests of Queensland, Australia. It is known for its exceptional ability to mimic natural and artificial sounds, including the calls of other bird species and even mechanical noises. The male has a striking tail that resembles a lyre, which it displays during courtship. These birds are primarily ground-dwelling and forage for insects, small reptiles, and seeds in the forest undergrowth. Despite their remarkable vocal abilities, they are often elusive and difficult to spot in their dense, moist habitats.
