Aldabra Drongo

Aldabra Drongo, Dicrurus aldabranus, is a passerine in the drongo family and lives on Aldabra in the southwest Seychelles. It was first described by Ridgway in 1893. The bird is confined to wooded parts of dense scrub, as well as coastal casuarina forest and mangroves. It has the typical drongo form, with black plumage, a heavy bill, a red eye and a long forked tail. Juveniles differ with a grey back, paler blotched underparts and a brown eye.
