Aldabra Fody, Foudia aldabrana, is a passerine of the Ploceidae family that breeds on Aldabra in the Seychelles, with its range formerly extending to Assumption, Cosmoledo and Astove in the Aldabra group. It is a distinct species and was described by Ridgway in 1893. A notable feature is its large, strong bill, which it uses in competition with other birds on Aldabra for food. Nesting takes place over several months, and it often uses introduced coconut palms and Casuarina trees.
