Pyrrhocorax graculus

The Alpine Chough, scientifically known as Pyrrhocorax graculus, is a medium-sized corvid bird found in high mountain regions of central and southern Europe, as well as parts of Asia. This bird is known for its glossy black plumage, strong and slightly curved bill, and distinctive red legs. Alpine Choughs are highly social birds, often seen in large flocks, and are known for their acrobatic flight displays. They are opportunistic feeders, consuming a wide variety of food including insects, small vertebrates, and plant matter. Their vocalizations are varied and include a range of calls and whistles. These birds are well adapted to their alpine habitat and are known for their intelligence and problem-solving abilities.
