Amazonian Antshrike, Thamnophilus amazonicus, is a passerine of the antbird family found in Amazonia across South America. It lives in evergreen and secondary forest, usually from the understorey to the mid-storey, and is present throughout the Amazon Basin. The species was first described by Sclater in 1858. It is a member of Thamnophilus, a group with stout, hooked bills. The Amazonian Antshrike shows marked differences between the sexes, and the nominate form has several named subspecies across its range.
