Amazonian Inezia

Amazonian Inezia, Inezia subflava, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family in central and south-west Amazonia. It is a resident bird tied closely to water, living in shrubby growth beside watercourses, swamp forest and várzea forest. The species has a disjunct range, with one part along the border of extreme northern Bolivia and Brazil and another along the Amazon system from the lower Negro River to Pará and the lower Madeira River. It also reaches southern Venezuela, eastern Colombia and north-western Brazil. Its plumage is shared by both sexes, and the two subspecies differ in tone and darkness.
