American Yellow Warbler

Setophaga aestiva

The American Yellow Warbler is a small, vibrant songbird found in North and South America. It is known for its bright yellow plumage and sweet, melodic song. These warblers inhabit a variety of forested and shrubby habitats, including woodlands, gardens, and wetlands. They are often seen flitting through the foliage in search of insects and caterpillars. The American Yellow Warbler plays an important role in controlling insect populations and is a valuable pollinator. This species is not currently considered at risk, but habitat loss and pesticide use pose potential threats to its populations.
