The Amsterdam albatross, scientifically known as Diomedea amsterdamensis, is a large seabird belonging to the albatross family. Endemic to the Indian Ocean, this species is known for its impressive wingspan and graceful flight. The Amsterdam albatross is primarily a scavenger, feeding on fish, squid, and other marine organisms. It is highly vulnerable to threats such as bycatch in fishing gear and habitat degradation.
