Andean Ibis, Theristicus branickii, is a bird of the Threskiornithidae family that breeds in the Andes from Ecuador to northern Chile and northern Bolivia. It lives in grassland and fields in western South America, and is confined to high Andean country between 3,000 and 5,000 metres. It was described by Berlepsch & Stolzmann in 1894. The species has also been treated as part of the black-faced ibis, though some authorities still keep it there. It is generally uncommon, and was once recorded in Lauca in far northern Chile.
