Andean Teal, Anas andium, is a duck in the family Anatidae and the order Anseriformes. It is a true teal within the genus Anas. Its breeding range is in South America, specifically Colombia and Ecuador. The species is associated with the Andean highlands and uses freshwater wetlands, with a preference for palustrine habitats rather than rivers. It is also known from taxonomic treatments that have linked it with the yellow-billed teal, although it is now usually treated as separate.
