Antillean Siskin, Spinus dominicensis, is a finch of Hispaniola in the Caribbean, where it breeds in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. It is the only Spinus found in the region and was first described by Henry Bryant in 1867. The bird is tied to pine forest, the margins of moist broadleaf forest, and grassy openings within those habitats. It occurs mainly at mid to high elevations, though it can move lower in colder weather. Its range is limited to a few mountain areas on the island.
