Aquatic Warbler, Acrocephalus paludicola, is a warbler of central and eastern Europe in the breeding season, and of western and central Africa outside it. It is tied to wet sedge beds with low vegetation, and its breeding stronghold lies in the Polesie region of eastern Poland and south Belarus. The bird is marked by a heavily streaked brown back, pale underparts with variable streaking, a flattened forehead, a strong pointed bill, and a clear whitish supercilium and crown stripe. It is a migratory species, and its route can take it as far west as Great Britain and Ireland on passage.
