Arabian Bustard

Ardeotis arabs

The Arabian Bustard, scientifically known as Ardeotis arabs, is a large bird species belonging to the bustard family. It is primarily found in arid and semi-arid regions of the Arabian Peninsula and parts of North Africa. This species is known for its impressive courtship displays, which involve inflating their throat sacs and strutting around to attract mates. The Arabian Bustard is an omnivorous bird, feeding on a variety of plant matter, insects, and small vertebrates. Due to habitat loss and hunting pressures, the Arabian Bustard faces conservation challenges in certain parts of its range.
