Araguaia Spinetail, Synallaxis simoni, is a passerine of the ovenbird family, found in west-central Brazil along the Araguaia River system. It lives in gallery forest, riverside woodland and scrub, as well as on river islands, always close to water and below 1,000 m. It is a resident bird and was described by Hellmayr in 1907. The species is monotypic and has been treated as part of other spinetails in the past, but is now accepted as distinct. Its range is very restricted to Brazil.
