Arctic Warbler

Phylloscopus borealoides

The Arctic Warbler is a small, migratory songbird found in the boreal forests of northern Asia. It has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a pale supercilium and a thin, pointed bill. This species is known for its melodic, high-pitched song, which is often heard during the breeding season. Arctic Warblers breed in dense coniferous forests and are often found foraging for insects in the canopy. During migration, they travel long distances to winter in Southeast Asia. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and climate change, the Arctic Warbler maintains stable populations across its range.
