Armenian Gull

Larus armenicus

The Armenian Gull (Larus armenicus) is a medium-sized gull species found in the Caucasus and the Middle East. It has a white head, neck, and underparts, with gray wings and back. The bill is yellow with a red spot near the tip. During the breeding season, the Armenian Gull can be found in colonies near freshwater lakes, marshes, and coastal areas. Outside of the breeding season, it can be seen in urban areas, agricultural fields, and coastal habitats. This gull is known for its opportunistic feeding behavior, scavenging for food in a variety of environments. The conservation status of the Armenian Gull is currently listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
