Arrowhead Piculet, Picumnus minutissimus, is a woodpecker of the Guianas in South America, with breeding records from Suriname and possible occurrence in Guyana and French Guiana. It is a resident bird that lives in mangroves, secondary forest, plantations, gallery forest and montane forest. The species is a small piculet with a black-capped male showing a red forehead patch, while the female lacks the red. Juveniles are browner and less distinctly marked.
