The Ascension frigatebird, scientifically known as Fregata aquila, is a large seabird belonging to the Fregatidae family. This species is primarily found in the South Atlantic Ocean, particularly around the Ascension Island. The Ascension frigatebird is known for its striking appearance, with long, narrow wings and a deeply forked tail. Males are predominantly black with a glossy sheen, while females have a white breast and underparts. These birds are adept at soaring and can often be seen gliding effortlessly over the ocean in search of food.
