Ashy-headed Green Pigeon, Treron phayrei, is a pigeon of the Oriental Region, breeding in south-east Asia and southern China, with a possible range into western Indonesia. It occurs from Nepal, north-east India and Bangladesh through south-west China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. It is placed in the genus Treron and is treated by many authorities as separate from the pompadour green pigeon complex. The species was described by Blyth in 1862. It usually appears alone or in small groups, and it makes a stick nest in a tree, where it lays two white eggs.
