Ashy-tailed Swift

Ashy-tailed Swift, Chaetura andrei, is a swift of the family Apodidae that breeds in eastern Venezuela. It is found in deciduous forest in the eastern lowlands and the eastern Coastal Range, and it is also recorded from northern and central Venezuela. The bird is very close in appearance to Vaux’s Swift, but it can be separated by its browner throat and belly, lighter brown back, and paler rump. Its wings are long and pointed, and the plumage is greyish brown overall with a paler underside.
