Ashy-throated Warbler

Phylloscopus maculipennis

The Ashy-throated Warbler is a small songbird found in the Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It has olive-green upperparts, a distinctive ashy-gray throat, and a yellowish underbelly. This species is known for its acrobatic foraging behavior, often seen hanging upside down from branches while searching for insects. It breeds in coniferous and mixed forests at high altitudes, and migrates to lower elevations during the winter. The Ashy-throated Warbler is known for its melodious and varied song, which can be heard throughout its range.
