Asian House Martin, Delichon dasypus, is a swallow in the family Hirundinidae that breeds across southern and eastern parts of the Palearctic and moves into the Oriental Region outside the breeding season. It is found in the Himalayas and in central and eastern Asia. A key feature is its white rump, set against mainly blue-black upperparts and pale grey underparts. It nests in colonies, placing mud nests beneath ledges on cliffs or on building walls. Both adults help with nest building, incubation and feeding the young.
