Icterus graduacauda
The Audubon's Oriole is a striking black and yellow bird found in the southern United States and northeastern Mexico. It is known for its beautiful and melodious song, which often echoes through the woodlands where it resides. This species is primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and occasionally feeding on fruits and nectar. Audubon's Orioles build their nests in the dense foliage of trees, where they lay their eggs and raise their young. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
