Azara's Aracari is a medium-sized toucan found in the forests of South America. It has a distinctive black head and chest, with a bright yellow throat and red rump. The bill is large and brightly colored, with a greenish-yellow base and a red tip. These birds are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits, and they also consume insects and small vertebrates. They are social birds, often seen in small flocks, and are known for their distinctive yelping calls. Azara's Aracaris play an important role in seed dispersal within their forest habitats.
