Azure-naped Jay, Cyanocorax heilprini, is a bird of north-west and west-central Amazonia in South America, with a breeding range in Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. It is a member of the crow family and was described by Gentry in 1885. It lives in lower tropical country, especially stunted forest, forest margins and regrowth on sandy ground, and also in lighter savannah woodland. Its rear crown and nape are bright lavender blue, while the front of the head is black and the forecrown forms a short crest. The bill, legs and feet are black.
