Bahia Spinetail, Synallaxis cinerea, is a bird of eastern Brazil in the ovenbird family Furnariidae. It breeds in a very small part of south-eastern Brazil, including southern Bahia and north-eastern Minas Gerais. It is a resident species and lives in the undergrowth of montane evergreen forest, especially along dense edges with vines, ferns and bamboo. The sexes look alike. Adults show a broad cinnamon-buff supercilium, brownish grey lores and ear coverts, a bright orange-rufous crown and nape, chestnut wings and tail, and dark greyish underparts.
