Eleoscytalopus psychopompus (Teixeira & Carnevalli, 1989)
Bahia Tapaculo, Eleoscytalopus psychopompus, is a passerine of the Rhinocryptidae family that lives in eastern Bahia, Brazil, in lowland Atlantic forest. It is found in the understorey of mature forest, usually in thick cover close to small streams, and has been recorded from a handful of municipalities in the state. It was once known from only three specimens, but later surveys produced visual, photographic and sound records. The species has blue-grey upperparts, a reddish-brown rump, white underparts, and chestnut flanks and vent without the barring shown by the similar white-breasted tapaculo.
