Baikal Teal, Sibirionetta formosa, is a duck in the Anatidae family and the Anseriformes order. It breeds in eastern Siberia across the Palearctic, and its range includes the forest zone from the Yenisey basin east to Kamchatka, with further records in northern Koryak, eastern Magadan Oblast, northern Khabarovsk Krai, Sakha, Irkutsk Oblast and northern Krasnoyarsk Krai. The species nests in pools along tundra margins and in swamp forest. It moves south for winter, when it occurs on lowland freshwater in East Asia, including South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and Vietnam.
