Oreomystis bairdi
Baird's Junco (Oreomystis bairdi) is a small passerine bird native to the high mountains of the Hawaiian Islands. It is known for its distinctive dark plumage and white outer tail feathers. This species is well adapted to the harsh alpine environment, where it forages for insects and seeds. Baird's Junco is a social bird, often found in small flocks, and its melodious song can be heard echoing through the mountain valleys.
